Reservations for Jesse Hall Dormitory at University of Montana: 2026 North American Forest Ecology Workshop

Staying in a single or shared dorm room on UM campus is a low-cost option for workshop attendees. This is not a requirement, and you can find other lodging options on the workshop website.

Instructions

Click Register Now in upper right corner of this page.
Enter your email address and contact information.
Select a single or double room for the number of nights you will stay.
- For double / shared rooms, both individuals must complete this form and pay the lodging fee. You are required to include your roommate's name, as we will not be matching roommates. If you do not have a roommate, select the single room.
Enter your check in date, check out date, and roommate name (required for double occupancy only).
Select payment type and complete payment details.
You will receive a receipt by email.

Reservation Changes

Cancellations will incur a $25 cancellation fee. No refunds will be issued after February 25.
You can modify your reservation until February 25 using the AFE Member Portal. If you don't know your portal log-in, enter your email and click Forgot Password. To edit your reservation:
- Log in to your member portal
- Go to Events, My Event Registrations
- Click Withdraw/Modify
- Make selections and save
- A revised invoice will be issued

Payments

To pay later or forward invoice to purchaser:
- Complete the form and select "Check" as the form of payment. You will receive an email containing the invoice and a link to make the online payment. This email can also be forwarded to the appropriate person for payment.
All payments must be received by Feb 25 or your reservation will be canceled.

Important Notes:

The shared bathrooms are gender specific by floor, and we will ask which floor you prefer.
Men and women can be roommates. However, one of you may have to travel to another floor for your preferred bathroom.
Family members and attendee guests who are not attending the workshop can reserve a room in the dormitory. However, every person staying in the dorms must individually register and pay.
We are required to provide a comprehensive guest list to University of Montana, and only those who complete this form and pay the fees by February 25 will be included on that guest list and provided access to the dormitory.
Participants will be charged for damages to rooms and lost access cards upon checkout.
The Association for Fire Ecology is handling reservations for this event, so emails related to your reservations will be emailed from office@fireecology.net.
